Brown Pelican applique quilt pattern by Toni Whitney Design features this lovely detailed bird perched on top of a piling. Brown pelicans, the smallest of the eight species of pelicans and the most prevalent in Northwest Florida, have a wing span of about 6-7 feet.
The pattern is designed for raw edge fusible applique, so I recommend that you use an Applique Pressing Sheet.
The pattern contains easy to follow instructions, a full size layout guide, and pattern pieces that are already reversed for applique. Included is a suggested color swatch strip to aid in fabric selection, but you can always create an original color scheme that is to your liking.
