Wildfire Designs Alaska Aurora Nights 5-Block Laser Cut Applique Quilt Kit

Aurora Nights 5-block laser cut quilt kit features a variety of animals in the wild Alaskan mountains under the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) night sky.

This kit contains all five applique quilt patterns and fabrics that match the original pattern covers. All fabrics shown are Hoffman Fabrics batiks. Included are laser pre-cut appliques using Lite Steam-a-Seam 2 fusible web, background fabric, borders and binding.

Wildfire Designs Alaska patterns are designed for fusible applique, so I recommend that you use an Applique Pressing Sheet. The pattern contains a layout guide, full size applique pattern pieces that are already reversed, and instructions. Although the instructions do not say this, I recommend that all the applique pieces should be sewn down to the quilt top after fusing using the stitch of your choice (straight stitch, zig-zag, buttonhole or satin stitch).
