Sea Otter applique quilt kit by Toni Whitney Design features a mother otter cradling her baby on her chest while floating in the water. Sea otters sleep while floating on their backs and often hold hands or wrap themselves in kelp to keep from drifting. The last photo shows real sea otters doing just that!
The pattern is designed for raw edge fusible applique, so I recommend that you use an Applique Pressing Sheet.
The pattern contains easy to follow instructions, a full size layout guide, and pattern pieces that are already reversed for applique. All the featured fabrics included for the quilt top are batiks. Included is a suggested color swatch strip to aid in fabric selection for future quilts. This is not a pre-cut kit.
